TBI Challenge

Elevating the detection and diagnosis of impact to the human body from a qualitative art to a quantitative, real-time science

Trauma Aware™ is elevating the detection and diagnosis of impact to the human body from a qualitative art to a quantitative, real-time science. Trauma Aware™ has developed human, wearable sensors and integrated real-time diagnostics to identify the potential mental or physical damage resulting from single or repeated impacts to the human head or body. Instead of guessing the occurrence and magnitude of this damage, Trauma Aware™ offers real-time sensor solutions that identify the magnitude and body mapping of impacts which may result in reduced cognitive abilities and injury. Upon identification of singular or cumulative impacts to the head or body the Trauma Aware™ Diagnostic Testing System deploys state-of-the-art diagnostics to rapidly determine the presence and severity of a concussion.

The challenge with detecting TBI is to determine impacts to the body that could potentially transmit dangerous forces to the head. In addition, non-impact forces, such as those caused by whiplash, may also create adverse head trauma. Trauma Aware’s™ innovative sensor network system and wireless reporting provide real-time insight into the potential harmful forces and effects that may lead to TBI.
